Olive + Spark designed a large-scale timeline graphic for the main entrance of South Coast Botanic Garden, telling the story of the Garden’s transformation from a former sanitary landfill into a thriving 87-acre botanical garden. The experience brings the Garden’s past, present, and future to life through a combination of historic photography, contemporary imagery, illustrative elements, and bold, nature-inspired color treatments. The graphic highlights the people and ideas that shaped the Garden, celebrates its unique exhibits and experiences, and introduces future projects designed to inspire exploration and connection with nature. Created to be both informative and visually engaging, the installation gives visitors a memorable introduction to the Garden before they begin their experience.
